Typical speed dating event
Yes definitely, but please take the time to think about what you write.
Our customer support centre takes telephone bookings and answers general enquiries 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For any issues that require management, our head office hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 6pm.
When you arrive you will see a Speed Dater Host in a t-shirt who will register you and give you a scorecard, a name badge and a pencil.
Once everyone has arrived the Speed Dater host will explain how speed dating works and answer any questions. Usually women will stay seated while men rotate every four minutes when the bell rings.
You just need to be single, have an email address and be over 18 years old.
You are very welcome to come speed dating with friends. You can also bring your friends along that are not taking part in speed dating, but we normally do not allow them to stay in the event room once the dating commences.
After each date participants mark on a scorecard whether they would like to see that person again.
In our experience four minutes is long enough to decide whether you're prepared to invest a couple of hours in a follow-up date.
You are not guaranteed to meet everyone but there is a chance to spend more than four minutes with people you like.
Our maximum amount of dates at a speed dating event is approximately 20. London typically gets between 15-20 dates and other UK cities around 10-15 dates. Many people will be coming straight from work so suits are fine - don't forget that in speed dating first impressions count.
Registering yourself does not mean you are now an online member, it just means that you have an online profile.
It’s entirely up to the person whether they bring a friend or not.In most of our venues, your friends can stay in the public area. Most people at each event will be new to speed dating so it will give you more chances to meet the right person.
